What You'll Learn (Modules)

CILT Level 2 Course Modules

To achieve this qualification, learners must complete four units:

Mandatory Unit 1: M1-L2 Introduction to Logistics

  • The purpose and role of logistics in business and supply chain operations
  • Basic logistics terminology, principles, and operational activities
  • How logistics contributes to service delivery and operational performance

Mandatory Unit 2: M2-L2 Introduction to Customer Service and Marketing

  • The importance of customer service in logistics and transport
  • Basic marketing principles and their link to customer expectations
  • How service quality influences logistics performance and customer satisfaction

Optional / Specialist Unit: O3-L2 Introduction to Warehousing and Inventory

  • The role of warehousing in logistics and supply chain operations
  • Basic inventory concepts and stock control principles
  • Warehouse activities, storage, handling, and operational support

Optional / Specialist Unit: O5-L2 Introduction to Planning and Operation of Freight Transport

  • Basic freight transport planning concepts
  • Transport operations and movement of goods
  • How freight transport supports customer service and supply chain flow

Exam Details

Assessment: Learners must successfully complete written online examinations for all four qualification units.

Number of examinations: Four-unit examinations are required.

Exam format: Each unit is assessed through a 30-question examination paper.

Question types: Examinations include a combination of multiple-choice questions and short-answer questions. Some questions may require short written responses or simple calculations.

Exam duration: Each unit examination is 60 minutes.

Exam schedule: Learners may complete up to two examinations in one day.

Pass mark: Learners must achieve a minimum score of 50% in each unit examination.
