Score supplier capabilities, select suppliers, review pricing alternatives, negotiate effectively, and understand supplier contract formulation
Introduce supplier relationship management and supplier collaboration in product design
Session 3: Purchase Order Management and Performance Measurement
Define the purchasing management process and manage procurement databases
Detail purchase order methods and trace the flow from requirement identification to closeout
Understand purchase order release using MRP, reorder point, and kanban systems
Explore VMI, inbound transportation factors, receiving, order closeout, reporting, supplier performance, international sourcing, and procurement technologies
