L3M1 Procurement and Supply Environments: Sectors, external environment, pricing arrangements, procurement documentation and procedures.

L3M2 Ethical Procurement and Supply: Added value, sourcing tasks, specifications, CIPS ethics, conflicts of interest and performance improvement.

L3M3 Contract Administration: Contract types, business cases, competitive pricing, negotiation, tendering, KPIs and contractual risk.

L3M4 Team Dynamics and Change: Individual contribution, stakeholder service, cross-functional teams, resistance to change and change methods.

L3M5 Socially Responsible Procurement: Sustainability, CSR, triple bottom line, responsible sourcing metrics and CSR monitoring.

L3M6 Socially Responsible Warehousing and Distribution: Elective / 6 credits, Objective response / 2 hours, hours, Inventory storage, warehouse design, handling equipment, green logistics and environmental impact.

Exam Details

  • Number of exams: Learners must complete the required Level 3 module assessments to achieve the full qualification.
  • Typical number of modules: CIPS Level 3 is structured around five assessed units / modules.
  • Exam type: Assessments are normally Objective Response (OR) exams.
  • Exam duration: Each exam is 90 minutes.
  • Passing rate: The pass mark for Objective Response exams is 70%.
  • Results and exam guidance: Learners should refer to official CIPS student pages for exam guidance, results, and assessment updates.
  • Each unit is assessed separately, and learners must pass all required assessments to achieve the CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate.
